ACLU of Wyoming Files Demands for Documents on Implementation of Trump’s Muslim Ban
The American Civil Liberties Union of Wyoming filed a Freedom of Information Act request today with its local U.S. Customs and Border Protection office to expose how Trump administration officials are interpreting and executing the president’s Muslim ban, acting in violation of federal courts that ordered a stay on the ban’s implementation.

The WY Legislature just took the first step toward criminalizing pregnant women, rather than helping them.
The House Judiciary Committee just voted 6-3 to pass HB 215, taking its first step toward making Wyoming the only state in the country to criminalize women as felons for struggling with drug addictions while pregnant.

Legislature Introduces The Wyoming Government Discrimination Act
Legislators have introduced a bill would that would legalize discrimination against same-sex couples and transgender people, and would make it impossible for any branch or part of the government to enact or enforce local non-discrimination ordinances and federal protections for the LGBT community.

How Many Law Enforcement Agencies Does It Take to Subdue a Peaceful Protest?
A bill signed into law by President Bill Clinton about 20 years ago created an interstate agreement for emergency management. That agreement helped bring law enforcement agents from 10 states (including Wyoming) to the site of protests by the Standing Rock Sioux against the Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota.
