Senate File 29

Background: Senate File 29 would require all acceptable ID for in-person voting to include a photograph, removing student IDs, Medicare cards, and Medicaid cards from the acceptable voter ID list.

Our Stance: The ACLU of Wyoming opposes Senate File 29.

Wyoming elections have proven to be secure. This bill doesn't fix a real problem, it only makes it harder for students, the elderly, those with disabilities and those who do not have a driver’s license or state ID to vote.
