Join the ACLU for Pints & Politics, your chance to socialize with advocates for civil rights, changemakers, and all others who dare to create a more perfect union in Wyoming. The first 50 people to RSVP will receive a voucher for a pint of beer (or beverage of your choosing) on us! Change happens in our state when we talk to each other and share our ideas. So let's raise a glass to each other and the work that we can do together.

Legal Observer Training - Cheyenne

Protest has been a tried-and-true way to create change for centuries – and these days, more and more people are making their voices heard by marching in the streets. We love to see people exercising their First Amendment rights like this! The right to join with fellow citizens in protest or peaceful assembly, after all, is critical to a functioning democracy. But lately, we've been subjected to escalating threats to our free society. We are up against a coordinated assault on the constitutional right to free speech and political dissent that has sustained our American democracy. Will you help us protect protesters, hold law enforcement accountable, and defend our free society? We'll be hosting an in-person legal observer training in Cheyenne at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 11. (The address will be provided after you register.) The need for legal observers is critical to deter and stand up to unlawful governmental intervention at protests and document potential abuse of power. By completing this training and joining the ACLU's volunteer legal observer team, you can do your part to uphold the First Amendment.
