Background: The Reproductive Freedom Act would prohibit the state from denying or interfering with a person's right to have an abortion before viability of the fetus or to protect the person's life or health. Health care providers performing unauthorized abortions will be charged with a misdemeanor.

Our Stance: The ACLU of Wyoming supports House Bill 138.

A decision about having a baby or having an abortion is a deeply personal, private decision best left to a person, their family, and their doctor. Our elected officials have no place in that decision.
