Bio

Moriah Scorzafava is the Communications Intern for the ACLU of Wyoming, North Dakota, and South Dakota. As a member of the communications team, she supports digital advocacy efforts by helping create engaging content that advances the ACLU’s mission to protect and expand civil liberties across the region. She is especially interested in using storytelling and social media to make complex policy issues accessible, compelling, and action oriented.

Moriah is a junior at the University of South Dakota, where she studies criminal justice and sociology. She is deeply involved in campus leadership, serving as president of the USD Sociology Club, president of the South Dakota College Democrats, and a senator in the USD Student Government Association, where she chairs the Government Affairs Committee. Through her academic work and advocacy, she is passionate about reproductive freedom, LGBTQ+ and Two-Spirit rights, Indigenous justice, immigrants’ rights, and protecting freedom of expression.

When she’s not working or studying, Moriah enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially her 4-year-old German shepherd/pit bull mix, Korah.
