UPDATE: Senate File 131 passed in both chambers. The bill now moves to Gov. Gordon for his signature.

Senate File 131 would prohibit people from distributing absentee ballot request forms.
The ACLU of Wyoming opposes Senate File 131. Like voter registration drives, distributing absentee ballot request forms is an effective way to ensure more people participate in democracy. Our elected officials should be doing everything they can to encourage people to vote – not trying to suppress people’s ability to do so. Distributing absentee voting request forms helps more people vote. Our democracy is stronger when more people vote, not fewer.
