UPDATE: House Bill 212 has failed.

House Bill 212 or the “criminal record expungement-revisions” bill would reduce the waiting period for expungement of felony and misdemeanor convictions and amends felony and misdemeanor expungement fees.

We support this bill because it reduces the waiting period for expungement of felony and misdemeanor convictions which will reduce the time people in Wyoming spend under supervision of the state.

This bill also amends felony and misdemeanor expungement fees making seeking a second chance more obtainable to lower income people.
