Federal Court Accepts Amicus in Support of WyWatch

U.S. District Court Judge Freudenthal accepted the ACLU's amicus brief in support of conservative organization WyWatch's right to exhibit pro-life displays at the Herschler Gallery in the Wyoming Capitol. WyWatch, after receiving authorization, set up two posters, including one of a fetus with a biblical phrase. Press release | Amicus brief

Panel Discussion: Medical Marijuana

This panel will discuss public policies of medical marijuana. Wyoming ACLU attorney Jennifer Horvath will present the issue from the perspective of individual civil rights. Larimer County Commissioner Steve Johnson will provide the perspective of a local government official dealing with the issue in Colorado where medical marijuana is legal but regulated. Law professor Stewart Young will present the federal/state law enforcement clash, from the perspective of a former federal prosecutor in California.

Speaking Out for Fairness and Equality in Wyoming

Out in the SilenceThe ACLU of Wyoming is proud to partner with Wyoming Equality to present on Thursday, September 15, a film screening of "Out in the Silence." The screening will be followed by a discussion about Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender issues in Wyoming with special guests film director Joe Wilson and lobbyist for Wyoming Equality and author of the blog, Out in Wyoming, Jeran Artery.
