What has the Wyoming Chapter been up to this month?
The ACLU of Wyoming is on a quest to reform our state's juvenile justice system, and part of that process involves gathering information about how it currently operates. After repeatedly being denied the criteria for juveniles in Park County, ACLU of Wyoming staff attorney Jennifer Horvath filed and won a lawsuit directing the Park County Attorney Brian Skoric to provide the public information to our office. Vote; Burt in Wyoming Lawyer, ACLU-Wyo defends student's free speech
The ACLU has launched its 2010 voter empowerment program which is distributing voter education materials in 19 states, including Wyoming. An article written by Wyoming ACLU’s Executive Director Linda Burt was published in Wyoming Lawyer, and the Wyoming ACLU wrote a letter on behalf of a student’s free speech right. Read letter >>
